Well, the first post. I have finally decided to take the plunge (with some encouragement :) into blog-land. Here is what I hope for this blog:

1.) A place where true debate and rational (and sometimes un-rational) thought can be expressed freely. If anyone gets offended, I apologize up front.

2.) A place to vent my frustration at the current state of affairs locally and abroad.

3.) A place where anyone can contribute, as I plan on bringing up several hot button topics. I welcome and even encourage views other than my own. It is only through understanding that common ground can be found.

4.) Comments will never be moderated on this blog.....ever, but please try to keep in mind other's feelings.

Let the fun begin.......

The first topic that I would like to discuss is abortion. I have some very strong feelings in regards to this issue. It is my opinion that when roe v wade happened, the moral fiber of America deteriorated as a result. I believe that every human being should have the right to life. I know a couple of women who have "legally" aborted thier pregnancies, and it really has scared them for life. The amount of guilt they hold must be tremendous. As a father, I just can't imagine a situation where ending a life before it has begun is an "option". I understand that I will probably get some nasty responses from this post, but we (as a society) really need to start discussing this topic, and I welcome all comments.

very nice opening to your blog. i completely agree on the abortion topic. i mean i can't imagine... what if my mum had decided to have an abortion - i wouldn't be here today! :(

hey palo :)

thank-you very much!! and i never doubted you :p

it is horrific to think about how many people were never even given a chance at life. it truely is staggering. besides my religous up-bringing, i think i have a little extra motive in regards to this topic. my wife and i lost our first born to s.i.d.s. about 13 years ago. he was only 3 months old. this little innocent life ripped away from us before he had any chance. that was God's will to take him, and i don't feel ANY human should be able to make that "decision".

thanks again for my first comment

hey palo, :)

thank you again for your kind words. i believe God had a reason for his death. it was following this that i completely turned my back on my faith, and it ultimately brought me back to God, and made me a stronger person. too much emotion to discuss here, maybe a completely different post.

peace upon you always
